Use the search bar on your dashboard to find a founder by name, LinkedIn URL, or describe a profile in natural language. Click Track on any profile to add them to your Private Monitor.
Go to Settings, then Thesis Profile. Enter your sector focus, geography, stage preference, and upload your past portfolio. Scouter uses this to personalize scores and surface the most relevant founders.
Private Monitor is visible only to you - your personal watchlist and alerts. Network is where you optionally share founders you believe in, making them visible to investors you've approved.
Scouter monitors job changes, stealth entity filings, layoff list appearances, exit history, LinkedIn activity, and social signals continuously across millions of profiles. You don't need to do anything once a founder is on your watchlist.
Every profile receives a personalized score based on background, behavior, and timing. Education, prior companies, exits, recent activity, signal momentum, and readiness are all recalculated as new signals arrive.
Because your score is personalized. A founder who is close to your network, or who matches your thesis sector, receives a network boost and thesis boost on top of the base score.
A Field Report is a short structured note left by another investor who has met or interacted with a founder in person. It's the most trusted signal on the platform because it comes from real-world observation, not just data.
Go to Monitor, then Alert Settings. You can set thresholds by score change, signal type, geography, or sector. Alerts are delivered by email, in-app notification, or webhook if you're using the API.
Yes. Open any founder profile and click Alert me on score change. You'll be notified whenever their Scouter Score moves by the threshold you define.
Job changes and LinkedIn activity are checked regularly. Entity filings and layoff lists are processed soon after they become publicly available. Scores are recalculated automatically when new signals arrive.
Search for an investor by name on the Network tab and send a follow request. Once they approve, you'll see the founders they've made public, along with any Field Reports they've left.
Yes. Go to Network, then Add Founder, enter their LinkedIn URL or basic details, and add your recommendation note. Scouter enriches the profile automatically and adds it to the platform.
They become visible to investors who follow you. Adding someone to your Network is a public endorsement that affects their Network Score and how prominently Scouter surfaces them to others.
Scouter Day is a city-based event where founders work from a shared space for a full day - no pitches, no presentations. Investors drop in naturally and observe founders in their working environment. It's an organic form of due diligence.
Check the Events tab on your dashboard for upcoming cities and dates. Registration is invite-only for each city's first cohort. Apply from the event page and the Scouter team will follow up.
Ripe is Scouter's exit intelligence layer. It monitors founder-backed companies for exit-readiness signals like valuation plateaus, executive hires, secondary market movement, and sector M&A activity.
